Today’s TJC Tidbit

The Joint Commission (TJC) will be visiting Sibley. To help everyone prepare, we will be featuring a daily tip here.

Question. Name three ways we maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Possible Answers: Turn computer screens so others cannot view; log off when leaving computer; use shredding boxes; knock before entering a patient room; make sure patients being transported are appropriately covered; don’t discuss patient information in an area where you may be overheard or with someone who is not authorized to receive the information.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Lymphedema Program

Congratulations to Sibley’s outpatient rehabilitation lymphedema program for being accepted as an affiliate member of the National Lymphedema Network (NLN).
Sibley’s lymphedema team was accepted based on the advanced certifications of our therapists, access to resources in our health system and the high-quality care that patients receive.

Sibley’s patients and lymphedema team will now have easy access and updates on the latest research and resources in lymphedema care, provided by NLN.
