Patient Safety Awareness Week – March 2017

The success at Sibley can be attributed to the focus on the failures. Each event (or failure) is reviewed and investigated in real time with feedback to the frontline staff. Opportunities for improvement are identified and interventions are initiated to try to prevent the next failure from occurring. This work is being done by multi-disciplinary improvement groups which include senior leadership, physicians, nursing, interventional radiology, pharmacy, EVS, patient safety and infection prevention. As Sibley strives for zero harm, there is still much work to do to prevent the next patient from harm.

The patient safety and quality department is excited to present an array of activity for Patient Safety Awareness Week.
