Joint Lean and Design Team Helps ED Staff Focus on Self-Care
Self-care is important for our physical and mental health, and proper self-care can help with stress management and focus. That’s why a joint lean and design team recently collaborated with Sibley Emergency Department (ED) leadership to prepare self-care kits for ED staff. The team included Sarah Emami, R.N., B.S.N., CEN, CCRN; Harpreet Gujral, M.S.N., N.P., FNP-BC; Andrew Pregnall; and Jun Edo Orlanes. Included in the kits are two towels soaked with lavender and lemon, a guided imagery for stress reduction lesson download and a thank you card, among other tools to help promote a sense of calm and well-being.
